Depth of Field

Depth Of Field

Depth of field is when the focus point is either in the foreground or the background, so that either the foreground is clear and the background is blurred, or the background is clear and the foreground is blurred.

These 2 images were taken from DOFpro.com in the CGI Gallery.

These are my attempts of Depth of Field

ISO

ISO

Laura Hana - This is a really good example of showing how the ISO works, it shows how the higher the ISO the more light sensitive the image is, so if you was in a dark room with poor lighting you would use a higher ISO and vece-versa

MY ISO IMAGES

For these images, in the order from top to bottom i took 2 images on each ISO setting starting from 100-6400.
1&2 - 100 ISO
3&4 - 200 ISO
5&6 - 400 ISO
7&8 - 800 ISO
9&10 - 1600 ISO
11&12 - 3200 ISO
13&14 - 6400 ISO

Camera Angles

Camera Angles

Perov Stanislav
I really like this image and it is really good to look at, the building looks really big and the architecture is really captured in this photo. Low angles can exaggerate the hight of tall subjects, or reveal unseen aspects of low-lying ones and this image definitely shows the texture and shape to the building too, whereas if he would of taken the image from directly in front, you wouldn't be able to see the actual complexity of the structure of the building you would just be able to see the bulk outline.

MY PHOTO'S

I really wanted to try see if using the same expression of hanging the head as if the person is sad or depressed and see if the feeling put across can be emphasized just by trying to change the camera angle, if it has or not, you decide.

Macro

Macro

Ricardo Liberato

This is a really good example of macro photography. I really like how this picture captures the sparks in the lighter, just before it ignites. I really like how you can see the scratches on the lighter casing, also how the flint wheel is slightly blurred around the edge because of the shutter speed.

In these photo's I was exploring taking pictures with the macro lens. For this i decided to link the images into my art project I was working on which was something to do with emotions. So therefor i decided to take pictures of the eyes/eyebrows which can really show emotion, its also too show how much detail, texture, colour and lightness/darkness it shows and brings out. I also i took a couple of pictures of inanimate objects to show the depth of field you get with the macro lens and also just for
